The project
In partnership with forwARdgame, MobiledgeX, and nreal, Deutsche Telekom realises a hands-free multiplayer experience on mixed reality glasses.
Freed-up players enjoy an AR air hockey game on nreal mixed reality glasses and control the game by moving around. A shared and stable AR environment, physical interaction with AR, and live synchronisation of users’ actions are key elements in an immersive experience.
In the future, wherever Deutsche Telekom rolls out 5G and edge computing infrastructure, players can have a multiuser, shared AR experience. Air Hockey 5G is now available to play in Deutsche Telekom stores across Germany.
